Hole 1

No time to warm up, this hole requires a long drive down the middle of the fairway - first hole at Cammeray Golf Club

The first requires a tee shot in the middle to take advantage of the steep downhill slope setting up a short iron second to a slightly elevated, well bunkered green.

As with every hole at Cammeray, the premium is with placement and accuracy.

Hole 2

An uphill approach shot into a small green demands an accurate shot - seconnd hole at Cammeray Golf Club

The second requires a tee shot from an elevated tee to a sharply upward- sloping fairway.

A tee shot carrying more than 200m will set up an easy pitch to a very fast sloping green, otherwise it’s a blind uphill 2nd shot.

Hole 3

Our shortest hole but one fraught with danger - third hole at Cammeray Golf Club

The shortest hole, but one fraught with danger. Steep downhill shot to a small, well bunkered green with sharp slopes behind and to the right.

A good shot is rewarded, but be offline or get the distance wrong and you can be severely penalised.

Hole 4

Straight forward downhill par 4 - fourth hole at Cammeray Golf Club

Fairly straight forward, downhill par 4. Short iron second to a slightly elevated bunkered green with OB behind.

Hole 5

Tee shot placement is crucial for this tough dogleg hole - fifth hole at Cammeray Golf Club

Placement of the tee shot is crucial for this sharply doglegged hole. Shots too far right can be blocked out by trees or on the left a steep bank comes into play. The second shot is sharply uphill to a green protected by a bunker left and a steep bank right.

Hole 6

Our signature hole - requires a long water carry to reach the green - sixth hole at Cammeray Golf Club

This is a difficult par 3. A feature hole with the challenge of the lake in front of the green. The tee shot is from an elevated tee to a small well protected elevated green. Usually plays longer than it looks.

Hole 7

Blind downhill tee shot into a green guarded by a tree left and bunkers right - seventh hole at Cammeray Golf Club

Blind downhill tee shot with fairway sloping right to left. Large tree front left of green can present problems for the less than perfectly hit second. Bunkers protect the green’s right.

Hole 8

Longest hole on the course - requires a long straight drive - eighth hole at Cammeray Golf Club

Longest hole on the course which plays longer than the card due to it being uphill for the first 250m. Two very good shots are required to reach this hole with a following breeze. Usually a three shotter into a southerly.

Hole 9

Straight forward finishing hole - ninth hole at Cammeray Golf Club

A straight forward finishing par 3. Elevated tee shot to a sharply sloping well protected green sets up a par or birdie. Missing left, right or long can be detrimental to the score-card.
